If you’ve booked a Day of Voxer or you’re about to… welcome! You’re in for a day of real conversation, practical support, and voice-to-voice coaching, all from the comfort of your everyday life.

Not familiar with Voxer yet? No worries ~ I’ve got you. Here’s everything you need to know to get started, plus a few quick settings tweaks to make the experience smoother and more enjoyable.

Why I Use Voxer With My Clients

1. Support Between the Busy Moments

Voxer lets us connect without needing to be on at the same time. Whether you’re in your car, doing dishes, or taking a breather on the porch, you can send me a voice or text message when it works for you. I’ll check in during our scheduled window and respond with guidance, support, or strategic feedback… whatever you need to keep moving forward.

2. Voice = Freedom

Most of us talk faster (and clearer) than we type. Voxer lets you talk things out without overthinking, and… rambling is welcome. This is gold in coaching because I get to hear your tone, energy, hesitation, and fire… all the unspoken layers that tell me what’s really going on.

3. Boundaries + Simplicity

No need to hand out your phone number or add another inbox to your life. Voxer uses usernames and keeps everything encrypted. I use it to keep business chats separate from personal ones, and most of my clients stick with the free version of the app (yep, it works great without paying a dime).

Getting Started in 3 Steps

1. Download Voxer (or use the desktop version):
You’ve got options! Most people use the mobile app (available on iOS or Android), but Voxer also works beautifully on desktop…  which is my personal favorite. You can log in at web.voxer.com to type or listen while working on your computer.

2. Set up your account:
Create your username, upload a photo if you’d like, and customize your settings (see below – they’re quick and make a big difference).

3. Say hi:
Once you’re set up, I’ll send you a direct link to our private chat. Or, you can search for my username (included in your welcome email) and send a quick hello to let me know you’re in!

Optimize Your Settings (Takes 60 Seconds)

✅ Enable Tap-to-Talk

Default mode requires you to hold down the record button while speaking — and honestly, that gets annoying real fast. Switch to “tap to talk” so you can record without holding your thumb down.

Here’s how:

  • Tap the ☰ (hamburger menu)

  • Go to Settings

  • Tap Audio and Notifications

  • Toggle on Tap to Talk

Trust me, it’s way better.

✅ Tweak Notifications

You can manage alerts either in your phone’s main settings or in the app. I recommend turning them off and just checking Voxer during our scheduled session window, but do what works for you — the goal is to keep it stress-free.

Bonus Tips

  • You can send text messages too! If you’re somewhere you can’t talk out loud, just type your thoughts instead.

  • Feel free to ramble. That’s where the gold often lives.

  • Don’t overthink it. This isn’t Instagram. It’s a walkie-talkie that lets us cut the fluff and get to the good stuff.

TL;DR… Voxer = Coaching Without the Zoom Fatigue

It’s like having me in your pocket… without needing to get camera-ready.

So go ahead, set up the app, send me a hello, and let’s get started. I can’t wait to work through the messy middle with you and get you to clear, practical next steps.

This is support, the Cairn House way.
